There is a topic about using the word film. You often hear people plug them as a movie: "I am in this great movie." Or, "That film was amazing." So people I wonder which is which. I see a movie as something entertaining but with not much weight behind it. Comedies in my mind fall into that cat. But a film is something with meat..heavy dramas say. And a doc is neither a film or a movie...it is a doc. Opinions? Onions? Anyone?

They both mean the same thing. The difference is only in the provienience of the term. The professionals themselves, on the other hand, refer to them as "pictures".
